CHANGLUN: The Housing and Local Government Ministry has allocated RM30mil to develop 607 new villages.
Minister Datuk Seri Chor Chee Heung said the funds would be distributed based on priority.
“As our allocation is not big, we will give priority to the needy,’’ he said after visiting Kampung Baru Changlun here yesterday.
Chor said the number of new villages had been increasing yearly from 450 in 2009 to the current total of 607.
As for Kampung Baru Changlun, which has 182 houses, he promised to highlight the various issues raised by the residents.
